Intervention is the process by which a family and friends come together to respectfully address the mental health and/or substance abuse of their loved one and present an opportunity to heal. Whether their loved one has refused treatment or is too ill to make a healthy decision, our adaptive intervention model aims to guide the family and friends out of a reactive state where the addiction or mental illness is dictating emotions and decisions, to a calm assertive and proactive solution focused plan.
At Alchemy Consulting, we understand that the decision to reach out for help when you are concerned about your loved one’s substance abuse, mental illness, or co-occurring disorders can be a difficult one.
Our goal is to help guide you through the process of making informed decisions so that a challenging situation can be transitioned into a solution-focused and forward directed plan. If you think your loved one might need an intervention, the first step in the process is calling us for a confidential consultation, please feel welcome to do so.
When you reach out to Alchemy Consulting, you will speak directly with one of our intervention specialists who will conduct a thorough initial assessment to understand your needs and determine the best course of action to help you and your loved ones. We believe that in order to obtain the best outcome, every intervention must be customized on a case-by-case basis. We don’t subscribe to a single method of intervention. Instead, we leverage multiple methods and modalities that can be molded to fit each particular situation. We will only recommend coordinating an intervention when the risks of NOT intervening outweigh the risks of moving forward.
Sometimes we may recommend that an intervention is not the best course of action for your loved one. In these cases, we will provide alternative solutions with referrals, resources and guidance on the appropriate level of care and how to get both your loved one and your family the best help available.

What Makes Alchemy Interventions Different?
Because we don’t subscribe to a single model of intervention, we are able to present an intervention plan that is highly individualized and tailored to meet the needs of your presenting situation and loved ones. Through our thorough initial assessment with you, we will be able to determine the method that will offer the highest chance of getting your loved one the help they need. We believe a personalized approach has a positive effect on outcomes and the success of an intervention.
Every person and situation is unique, and as such, many intervention clients don’t fit into a box or existing intervention method. In these cases, creative strategies are needed to get the person out of a crisis situation and safely into treatment. Our out-of-the-box approach to intervention means that we’ll do whatever it takes (within the boundaries of the law, ethics and safety for all involved) to get them into treatment and on the path to wellness.
Our longstanding history within the health care field and strong nationwide relationships ensure that your loved one will be offered the best care possible for their substance abuse, dual diagnosis, mental health or process addiction issues.
